Volunteer Visa For India
India requires all it's visitors to have a valid visa to enter the country. These are available from your local visa center, if you are from the UK, we would advice using the London VFS Office to apply for your visa. The London office is more familiar with the process and we expect that this would have the least delays. The visa process should take a couple of weeks at most, however it has taken upto a month. Somethnig to be aware of is that the visa is valid from the day it is applied for, NOT the date of travel.
Visa Requierments for India
Currently the correct visa for volunteering is an Employment Visa, although these must be accompanied with an invitation letter from Educators Trust India so please get in touch with us first. Please see below the costs depending on your nationality. ThisFor the most up to date information please contact the Indian High commission or their authorised agents (VFS). Other nationalities will have a similar process but they should contact their respective visa centres for detailed information.
