Volunteer Background (Police) Check

As we are a children's charity we expect all our volunteers, staff and supporters who come into contact witht he children to have an enhanced police check so we can ensure the safety for the children. In the UK this is a CRB check. An equivalent to a UK Enhanced Criminal Records Bureau Check should be provided by other nationalities. As this is a detailed check the process can take up to 2 months so please apply early. If you already have a police check do contact the UK Office and we can advice you if you need another one although we will always need to see the original before you help with the children.

UK Residents

Please ONLY apply for a CRB if you have already been accepted as a Volunteer/Member. If anyone needs help with the forms then Sue from the UK office would be happy to help if they can meet her in Sheffield.
