Charity Support

There are many ways in which individuals, families and companies can support the work we do, here is a list of a few ways in which you can help, but remember we also accept volunteers. If you are interested in volunteering with us please take a look at - Volunteering In Goa

Needs List

We always have a list of items that are currently 'needed' to allow us to continue or improve the work we do with the children in India, this list can be as basic as 'a weeks fruit', or sometimes when we need a larger item we might list a new cooker, fridge or even school bus. For the larger items we obviously don't expect one person to buy a bus (although if you know anyone who can that would be great! :), so we create fundraising pages so lots of people can donater smaller amounts. If you donate for something from this list then all the donation that we receive will be used directly towards that item.

Donations

There are several ways supporters can donate, from sending a cheque, made payable to 'Friends of Educators' Trust' which is the British Registered charity, or if you are an Indian National, then a cheque made payable to 'Educators Trust India' sent to our Indian Office. We also have great access for donations via several Internet based solutions including, Just Giving, Paypal and others. Please find the option which is most convienant to you.

Fundraising

Do you think you want to do more than just donate? perhaps you would like to do a sponsored bike ride or hold a charity sale / car boot. Whatever you had in mind we have Just Giving which will help you raise and keep track of the money donated. It also sorts out Gift Aid too! Instructions and sample can be found in the fundraising section.

Major Supporters

There are a few organisations and people that continue to support us and we would like to highlight these kind people. If you would like to become one of our major supporters then do please contact us and see how you can change the lives of children in India.

Gifts in Kind

We are always delighted when visitors want to support us by donating items in kind, If you are traveling from abroad some airlines do provide 'charity baggage allowances', although these need to be organised usually a minimum of a month in advance. Follwoing the link will give you a good idea of what is useful and a list of a few things that we prefer not to get.

Charity Baggage

Are you coming to Goa? Have you got room in your case or can manage to bring out an extra bag for charity? If you can, then we are always happy to receive good quality, clean second hand clothes, toys, stationary and any items for children. For a bettter idea of what to bring out to Goa, then please see our Gifts in Kind section
